Import Instructions

Select a CSV file using the Export Page format
Choose import options (see recommendations below)
Click "Preview" to verify your data before importing
Click "Import Materials" to begin the import process
You'll see real-time status updates during the import

During import, the system will automatically calculate weight, volume, cost, and other derived values. Material IDs will be generated using the same logic as the New Material form.

Select CSV File

Select a CSV file with the proper column headers. The system will attempt to match column names even if they contain line breaks or slight variations.

Import Options:

Clear existing materials before import

Warning: This will delete all existing materials first!

Skip materials with existing IDs (don't update)

If checked, existing materials won't be updated, only new ones will be added.

Recommended settings:

For a new initial import: Check "Clear existing materials"
For adding new materials: No checkboxes needed
For maintaining separate sets: Check "Skip existing materials"
